Throughout the book I used Die Cuts with a View Linen Closet Patterned and Coordinating Card Stock Paper Packs. I had my trusty Cricut Expression 2 going to make tags and several other embellishments as well as my Sizzix Big Shot for embossing, and the We R Memory Keepers Cinch for binding the book.
The front cover:
I inked up the Tim Holtz mannequin die cut out of chipboard, washi tape, mini roses are from Recollections, the little pearl is from Close to My Heart, and the sewing tape button was from Favorite Findings. A note here: I had some trouble with the Washi tape curling up on the top and bottom edges so I gave them a little extra glue to make sure they stuck. I can't remember where I got the little gold flower brad. As always I had to stitch on my pages. Rather than make a list at the bottom of the book of supplies I will include them with each page what I used.
The remaining pages of the book.
I included a place on the inside of the front cover for a presentation spot. The stamp is from Stamping Up: Notably Ornate Collection. The little quilted pattern look diamonds were cut with The Blackletter Cartridge.
You will see a little bit of fabric peeking out in places throughout the book. This was a scrap piece of satin that I had in my stash. What is a book about sewing without a little bit of fabric? All of the scallop topped tags were cut using Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More Cartridge. The framed ticket embellishments are from Art Philosophy Cartridge for Close to My Heart. There is also Prima Say it With Pearls embellishments througout the book, and where ever you see little pearls they are from Close to My Heart.
These little half pages were a new addition to my books. I used smaller folded bags in the center of the book to the half pages. These have openings where memorabilia or maybe the recipients own note can be added. I used the Cricut Cartridge Christmas/Noel for the quilted look piece.
The book mark I added was actually a trim from an old curtain! Like I tell people if it isn't nailed down and small enough to fit in a book scrapbookers will find a way to use it. These little chipboard accent pieces are also from Recollections.
Here on this page I used the Elegant Edges Cart to create the background mat for the muslin piece.
On the half page below I just loved that image I put on the muslin. I didn't show it here but that piece actually opens up like a card with a journaling spot inside.
I hope you've enjoyed this little book as much as I enjoyed making it!
Until next time...which I am hoping will soon!
