Just stopping by!

Just a note to my friends to say hello!   I took a little road trip yesterday and got to the city. I had alot of fun with my friend visiting, shopping, and you know that dreaded job of grocery shopping is even more fun with a friend!  We of course went to the local scrapbook store....and  Oh my goodness the Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium  and thier an ABC Primer papers are to die for! Click on the link to see them if you haven't already!  I just couldn't resist to add these collections to my stash!  I can't wait to start working with them!

In the meantime, I thank you for being patient with me on this tutorial that I am putting together!  I am hoping to have it up soon!  I think I have road lag...(if that is possible) today.  I am very tired and my body is aching so I didn't get into my therapy room today.  I am so close to being able to share with you that I can hardly stand it...wish my body would cooperate with my brain sometimes!

Hope you get to have a day filled with friends!  Don't have one planned...call one...a day shared  is the best!

til next time!

Hugs!

Scrabble Tiles

I am hoping  this finds everyone rested after Labor Day and not exhausted from all of the activities!  This past week I did not finish all of the sketches that I placed on here although I had fully intended to do that!  However, with that said I did get to  have a fun time with friends and take a scrapbook class in Battle Mountain.  We created little tiles out of scrabble pieces.

Here is the sketch that was given us and the directions I hope that this will come through large enough for you to read them. I know I promised you all a tutorial and since I am still in the process of doing that I hope that this will fill you in for awhile.
Now here is what I came up with once I came home and printed out pictures.  When I saw the little images given us for the tiles I knew that I just had to use the little boy and girl and do a layout about when my granddaughter was visiting this last month and we made paper dolls.  I water distressed, inked, tore, edge distressed,  border punched,  used the Cricut Accent Essentials Cartridge, embossedand just had fun embellishing!
The large scallop circle on the right hand side pulls out for the journaling about our time togetherShe got to stay with us for two weeks and boy did I have fun with a little girl in the house!  I think she did too! At one point she told me she was never going to leave, but live with us forever!  (Sorry mom and dad!)

What memories are you creating today?

Hugs!

Sketch Inspiration

Hi friends well here it is Thursday and I have found another awesome sketch for you to try!  This one is brought to you by sketchy thursdays .

I hope you enjoy it and get some great inspiration!

With all of these wonderful sketches I am finding I could live in my therapy room...which is fine with me!  Hope you have fun with this!

I am also hoping to bring a tutorial to you in the near future!  We will see what life brings about!

Hugs!
