Sketch # 02 - CROP ROOM II NSD

Hi Ladies...yes my blog is busy, busy, busy today with it being National Scrapbooking Day! Here is a sketch I have done.

As I have said before.  My sketches are kept simple with just the basics...and I let you take the rest for your creativity.    This is for a 2 page LO.  I am sorry that my pages are not lining up next to each other.  I have added, deleted, resized and I just can't seem to get them to go where I want them to.  So to show you what this should look like, here is my example:

I made this LO for a swap I was in at The Crop Room II. I hope you enjoy this and have fun adding your own personal touches!! I think it is always fun to see what everyone else comes up with given a basic drawing and letting their creativity fly!
And for my CROP ROOM FRIENDS....I can't wait to see your LOs!!!  Feel free to switch, turn, flip flop to make this your own!!!

Sunday Inspiration

From time to time God shares such incredible things with me I just have to share!  So I have decided that as this happens....I will share them on Sunday!

This week it was the words of Luke 8:38-40

Jesus told the demon possessed man to go home after he healed him....why?  Because those around us know us best and they are the ones that can see and testify of changes in our lives.  What better reason is there to make sure that we show others through our actions...so that they can testify...that God is working in our lives! There's no better testimony than our actions to tell people about Jesus and what he is doing for us!

Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!
Relax, put your feet up today....do something you enjoy!

Raley's Reach Program

I have copied an email that I recieved.

If any of you would like to help with this project it would really be appreciated.  It only takes a few minutes of your time.  You do need to sign up for Raley's emails...but hey after the 2 1/2 weeks you can unsubscribe...and if you live in an area that has a Raley's they offer some great email coupons.

We have submitted a grant to Raley's for $7,500.00 to get a decent sound system for our stage. We need your help. Everyday for the next 2 ½ weeks, you can cast a vote for our school to help with this cause. You may only vote once a day and you may not have any immediate family members who work for Raley's. The top five vote winners will receive the money. The link to get to our idea to vote on it is http://www.raleys.com/cfapps/reach/nomination.cfm?ideaid=1421388. If it doesn't work, let me know. Be sure and let other family members know so they can vote for our idea as well.

When you click on the get info it tells you a little more about the school and the project. Thank You so much for your support of this project!!!

Hugs!  Becky

Grandparents & Kaida

It's Monday!  Time for me to get off my franny and do some housework!  However, before I get in that mode I wanted to share with you the layout I did for The Color Room Palette #1 Challenge, I also used Sektch # 194 from Scrapbook Challenges.
This is me and my dear husband after our precious grandaughter was born.  You can see by the smile on my face that I was ecstatic to have a baby girl.  After raising 3 boys and always wanting a girl this moment was exhilerating!  I could finally buy pink (although at the time her mom said: "I don't want alot of pink!"), ruffles, lace, and all those things that go with the world of girls!

Products I used for this Layout are:
Doilies: Dollar Tree, Inks: Close To My Heart Crystal Blue and White Daisy, Anna Griffin Pink, Flowers: Classic Silks, Pearls: Mondern Romance, K Sticker: Creative Memories, Metal Ribbon Slides: Making Memories, Embroidery Floss: DMC#712, Punches: Martha Stewart Lace Border Punch, Creative Memories Square Punch, Ribbons: Michaels, Cardstock: Bazill in White and Pink, Papers: Hot Off the Press Muted Roses, Me and My Big Ideas Pink Stripe, Unknown: Yellow Paper, Buttons, Pink Sheer Ribbon, Clear Gel Postage Stamp Sticker

Here is the sketch!

I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

Kallio Kaleidoscapes

New Scrapbooking Site!  My Daughter In Law has started her own scrapbooking business. I really like her designs that she has come up with!  She has a variety of styles from soft muted florals in her "Flower Commotion" line to a more grunge look with her "Shivers" Line.  I am hoping to be able to create with some of these products soon!
She has a shop on etsy and here is a link to it:

I am so excited for her!!  Stop by her site and see what she has!

Thanks for looking!

Sweet Baby Girl

Here is a Layout that I did for 2 challenges over at Scrapbookchallenges .com The first was a  monochromatic challenge, the second was for Sketch #193.  I don't feel that my LO turned out looking anything like the sketch, so I won't post that sketch.

These are pics taken of my ds, my dil, and my beautiful grandaughter after her birth.  She was 10 lb. 13 oz at birth!  So she was a little armful...and had the chubbiest cheeks!
I wish I could say that I have all the newest products on the block, but since I don't have a LSS, and a room full of supplies I am using up my stash from previous years. Maybe this will inspire you to use up some of your own stash!   This is what I used:
Pink Bazzill Cardstock, Hot off the Press: Muted Roses Paper, Me & My Big Ideas: Pink Stripe Paper, Anna Griffin: Pink Ink; Martha Stewart Scallop Border Punch, Fiskars Heart Border Punch; Michael's Ribbons: Sheer Pink Ruffled, Rick Rack; Want 2 Scrap: Pink Pearls; Studio 112 Stickers, Cricut Bags, Tags, Boxes, and More Cart; DMC #776 Embroidery Floss, Unknowns: Pink Gingham Ribbon, Sheer Pink Ribbon, Buttons, Brads, Flowers.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog!

The Dress

The Dress

Pictures of my ds wedding and my beautiful dil getting ready.  As she was getting ready the zipper broke on here dress.  I hid the journaling and this is what it reads:
The Journaling reads: As with all fairytales, there seems to be mishaps along the way. When Jessica was getting dressed her zipper got caught and broke. Her Father and Linda along with several others frantically tried everything to get it fixed. We tried to find seamstresses that could maybe sew a zipper in at the last minute. In the end we ended up safety pinning her dress to hold it together. But our bride to be was not daunted by this mishap, because she knew that her true love awaited her. And in the end it would be their love that held them together.

Hope you have a wonderful day...and remember sometimes fairytales do come true!

Oh My it is already Tax Day!!!

Well ladies I don't know what has happened to April...but I am so sorry I haven't been around. This month has been so busy for me with new things happening in our Women's Ministry and getting things organized for them. It is so exciting to see how our God leads if you are just willing take a step and trust! He always amazes me as he reveals things piece by piece...

I have been able to get some time in my scrapbook room for creating and so I will be sharing some of those things with you too! Is anyone still out there organizing...or has the spring time bug bit you and you're so ready for the sunshine and the outdoors! Our weather has been so cold and windy...wish it would warm up so I could enjoy the outdoors.

We had our grandson the other day. My dh took him golfing, when he got ready to go home he told us....Next time we are going fishing!!! So I guess we got our orders of what we are to do next. LOL! Here is a sweet pic of him getting to golf.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
