Painting has started!

Hi! I am so glad to see I have some people actually following this! Today was a good productive day. After church my dh and I got the walls scrubbed and the trim painted. I hope that I won't regret painting the trim first! LOL! I can't wait to get the actual color on the walls. I didn't take a pic of the white painted trim...thought I would wait until we got all the color on the walls.

If you are game for a challenge this second challenge is an easy one. Look at your walls, doorknobs, light switch plates, machines. Are there smudges lurking around? If so go get a rag and wipe them up!

Will be back tomorrow with pics of the color! I'm not sure how much I will get done Tues through Thurs this week as we are have company coming so we will have to move the bed back in until they leave. Hopefully I will be able to accomplish something!

Have a great Monday!

Scraproom Makeover: It has Begun!

Hi! To those of you that want to follow and maybe do the challenges here's your first days challenge. I will probably be posting as I get things done because I never know exactly what I will be doing for sure. LOL! But you can still partake. You will probably end up where I am unless you plan on painting and redoing your entire room. There is no exact time frame for when you get the challenges done. The main thing is that we are creating a space that will inspire us to create and so we know exactly where everything is.

So Here's a Couple of Pics from what I did today. 1) A View into the empty room below.

2)The closet. Has been cleaned out and reorganized. I can't believe I have all that extra space! I actually lost one shelf from what I had in the other room! As I move things in I will take pics of what it really ends up like. We removed the door and I will be getting a new one.

So my 1st challenge for you is to Clean, Organize, and Purge your closet.
When you are finished post a comment and let me know you got it done! That will put your name in for my blog candy drawing! Each challenge you complete will get your name in the drawing! The more you complete the more times you are entered to win! Thanks for taking the time to follow me on this exciting endeavor. I am not an interior decorator. So we will see what you all think when it's finished!

Updates from this House!

Hi Everyone! Feeling alot better. Still have a little stuffy nose and cough...but at least I am moving!

Traveled today and was able to go to two of my favorite stores and shop! Nothing lifts your spirits more sometimes than shopping! Especially if you find good deals. LOL!

Since I am going to be moving my scrapbook room....I will share pictures as I go. I was wondering if any of you would be interested in organizing your own stash with me as I organize mine. I have been working on some of the organization on two other sites I belong to, but there is so much more to be done. If you would like to join along I will be sure and post what I am working on....

So who's in for this challenge? Leave me a comment if you are! May just have some blog candy for a follower at the end!

Oh to be well again!

Here I sit tonight wishing I could just get well and be back on my feet. I have so many plans for this week. Finish my swap LO, organize more in my craft room, and I also have a sketch in my head that I want to share with you. So hopefully before this week is out I will be able to see some of this come to realization.

Why does ones body have to get sick...and yet the mind keeps on ticking...thnking...creating?

Another Year Older...

Yesterday I turned another year older. However, I don't feel it! I didn't have a festive party or big bang of a day. I spent most of this day in bed sick. My highlight was taking phone calls from loved ones!

I sit here and remember how as a child I anticipated the big birthday parties. With my mother by my side and helping me make decisions I remember making out invitations, planning the games that we wanted to play: drop the clothespin in the bottle, musical chairs, pin the tail on the donkey to name a few, picking out the perfect outfit...and being so excited! Oh those simple pleasures of life. We never had bouncy houses in the yard, or had to go to the bowling alley or swimming pool. It was always a party at home, with home made decorations, a house full of friends and family. Being surrounded by love. What awesome memories. Memories of a simpler time and lifetime of having love through family and friends.

May your life be filled with one of simple pleasures and love.

Wow! I can't believe that January is already gone! I look back at my past month and I realize that God taught me that I need to be about creating relationships. I had visions at the beginning of the month that I would be spending alot of time in my scrapbook room creating art this past month...and yes some of that was accomplished...but the most important of my days were the ones that I took the time to be wi th friends and family. This past month God has also given me a scripture that pretty much sums up what I need to be about.

It is Rom 12:9-13

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil, cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice Hospitatlity.

As you read that I hope that it challenged you to really put those words into practice in your own life as it has challenged me! Well let's see what February will bring for me....what will the Lord have in store for me this month. I am anxiously waiting to see where He will lead me in the month to come....to what he will help me to create in my life and in the lives of others.
